
book: “In the Light of Dawn: the History and Legacy of a Canadian Black Community” published by the University of Regina Press.
The Book Launch will be celebrated at the Josiah Henson Museum (29251 Freedom Road, Dresden, CA N0P 1M0) on Saturday, February 8.
The event is being divided into two parts. At 1 p.m. Dr. Afua Cooper will be part of the main program (which is being taped for Ontario Heritage Trust), part of which is a “conversation” with myself about the book.
The second part of the day starts at 2 p.m. Books will be for sale and Marie Carter will be happy to sign these for anyone who wishes.
Union Block Bakery will be providing coffee, tea and treats.
The event is free.
You need to register if you are wanting to be part of the 1:00 p.m. session as seating is limited but no registration is necessary for the 2:00 p.m. book signing.
