The EssexOA / Franco-Ontarian Genealogical Research Centre is open weekly from 10am to 2pm (no admission fee) for family history researchers. The EssexOA/FORC centre has the largest collection of Family Histories in SWO (digitization in progress). The book scanners, high speed scanners, photocopiers are all available at no charge – remember to bring a thumb drive. On site family research assistance is available, at no cost – research is our passion. The FORC also has a large collection of used books, which are excellent for gifts. Or grab a free beverage (tea, coffee, soft drink) and sit and read a book from the LARGE collection of history books, magazines.
The EssexOA/FORC is located on the 2rd floor of the old convent building (Maryvale campus, corner of College and Prince Road, Windsor, ON). Parking is available in Lot C (off College Ave near Prince Road), or Lot B off Wells Street (short walk through campus to the Convent building).
