DESCRIPTION:Attention history enthusiasts and genealogists:\n\nIn this sess
 ion\, participants will learn the key steps to capture oral histories. By 
 sharing her research and experiences with gathering the oral histories of 
 local Lebanese elders\, Dr. Victoria Abboud will offer ways to start and c
 ontinue oral history projects.\n\nTopics will include:\n- the ethics of ca
 pturing oral histories within and outside of your own community\n- step-by
 -step approaches to seeking consent and preparing interview questions\n- s
 trategies for storing and sharing oral history projects\n\nIf there is suf
 ficient interest with this session\, we will plan for a separate hands-on 
 workshop so that participants can begin their own projects.\n\n*This sessi
