Tecumseh Heritage Centre: Managed by the Tecumseh Area Historical Society

Visit the Tecumseh Heritage Centre in the heart of downtown Tecumseh.  Tecumseh’s rich history is celebrated with many exhibits and displays that tell the story of our humble beginning on indigenous land to the flourishing town that it is today.

Tour the oldest home in Tecumseh, the 1799 Lesperance Family Log Cabin and the old Tecumseh Train Station sheds that have been fully restored. –

Learn about local military history featuring the uniforms of Tecumseh’s first Mayor Col. Paul Poisson. Tecumseh’s champion sports memorabilia as well as our vibrant early business and industry.  This and much more can be found along with the stories of our unique settlers who started it all.

We would love to see you! Bring your family along. Admission is FREE.
